Manas has donned many hats in a career that’s spanned 26 years. Currently, as the Ideation Evangelist and Principal Consultant to Laqshya Media Group, he has been spearheading the development of the recently launched cutting-edge OOH metrics tool – SHARP. SHARP combines cutting edge analytics with massive digital databases to present India’s only integrated OOH measurement system. In his free time, he’s working with a few friends across three continents to set up a new social media platform.
Before this phase in his life, Manas was the CEO and Publisher at the Goenka Group’s Open Media. Prior to Open, he was the CEO – Publishing and Digital for National Geographic and Amar Chitra Katha, where he launched National Geographic, nationalgeographic.in, National Geographic Traveller and natgeotraveller.in. In addition, he launched the ACK Comic app and the Suppandi youtube channel. His first media experience was with Discovery Channel. Bitten by the digital bug, he also worked for webdunia.com, and let the team that established the digital presence of the Mahakumbh, 2001.
His primary data analytics training happened when he was the Director and Head of Readers Digest India, where he launched the merchandise business apart from growing the catalogues and books business, making India the most profitable business across Asia Pacific. His formative years in the DM/CRM service industry – having worked at Result McCann, Lintas Direct and Wunderman – ensured his lifelong love for databases and analytics.
Manas has an advanced management degree from ISB and an MBA from Lucknow.
