Kunal Savarkar is a nationally known Quizmaster who began life as an architect. From 2000 to 20022, he was fortunate to work with Siddhartha Basu as Content Editor for the popular TV shows ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ and BBC’s Mastermind India. 

Kunal Savarkar is the co-founder, alongwith his partner Seema Chari, of India’s largest integrated quizzing company- Xpress Minds Edutainment (P) Ltd- (www.xpressminds.com). 

• Xpress Minds offers a full range of ‘end-to-end’ services which includes quiz content creation, quiz conduction, outreach, event management and production.  
• Xpress Minds has conducted over 3,500 quizzes in over 150 cities in India in the last decade.  
• The extensive team across India is capable of conducting 8-10 full scale events simultaneously across multiple cities. The company has conducted over 1,500 school level quizzes at different schools across all 36 India states and union territories. 
• Xpress Minds created India’s biggest quizzing platform- Mind Wars- in association with Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. A network of 40,000+ schools, 125+ quizmasters was built, and 3,00,000 pieces of content created in 12 languages. A TV and YouTube Game Show, an Olympiad, A Spelling Bee, a Debate competition and a countrywide School

Kunal and Seema are also founders of a specialised content creation company- Indica Media International LLP, which creates, collates and curates edutainment content across different media. With his partner Seema Chari, he has co-founded the Womens Quizzing League.  

They are also the partners for the US-based International Academic Competitions in India and Nepal. In conjunction with IAC, Kunal and Seema have founded and conducted the first edition of Indian Academic Championship or INDAC in May 2025. In June 2025 Kunal was a Quizmaster at the Asian Academic Championship at Khao Lak, Phang Na, Thailand. 

Kunal Savarkar is deeply passionate about quizzing and creating networks of quizzers and quizmasters, and believes learning should be fun, and that there is a quizzer inside each of us!  

Kunal Savarkar has co-authored 20 non-fiction books. Kunal is a lover of cricket statistics who does not watch the game, a voracious reader, a dog lover, and a stamp collector since his childhood.
