I graduated from IIM – Calcutta in 1990 and joined ITC from campus and have been here ever since. I spent the first 10 years in sales and brand management in tobacco and then was drafted into the core team to explore new business opportunities for ITC in the FMCG space. From this effort emerged the Foods Business of ITC which today has several prominent brands like Sunfeast Biscuits, Aashirvaad atta, salt and spices, Bingo snacks, Yippee noodles , Kitchens of India Ready to Eat and Candyman and Mint-O confectionery .
After handling the confectionery business as SBU head, I now am the Executive Vice President, Marketing, Exports, Institutional Sales and Packaging for the Foods Business of ITC.
