Jayen Mehta is Incharge Managing Director (MD) at Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd. (GCMMF, Amul) which is India's largest food products marketing organisation with annual brand sales turnover of Rs 72,000 crore. GCMMF (Amul) is a cooperative federation of 36 lakh milk producers of Gujarat organizsed under 18,600 village dairy cooperative societies and handling more than 10 billion litres of milk every year. It is Asia's largest dairy company and ranked 8th largest in the world.
Jayen has been associated with Amul since last 32 years. He has rich experience in domestic and international marketing of Amul products having travelled widely across India and more than 50 countries around the world. He has a good understanding of brand building, product management, exports, advertising and media, corporate planning, sales and distribution, supply chain management and social media.
He is nominated as a member on the Standing Committee of Marketing of the International Dairy Federation (IDF). He is also a member of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) committee on international trade policy. He has served as a member on the Global Dairy Trade (GDT) Events Oversight Board.
