In 2001, he was appointed President, Portland India, a specialist OOH unit of JWT and was responsible for the dramatic growth of the company – over a period of 5 years Portland had been transformed from a humble beginning to being the country’s second largest and fastest growing specialist agency.
In June 2006, he was responsible for launching Poster Publicity, a second specialist ooh agency for GroupM.
In April 2007 he was appointed as CEO and launched Platinum* Outdoor, a specialist OOH unit of Madison World. Currently he oversees the operations at Platinum Outdoor as well as MOMS* Outdoor Media Solutions which are independent ooh units at Madison World.
In September 2009, he launched OutSel*, a third OOH Specialist unit for Madison World.
Arminio Ribeiro, has been credited with having developed one of the most robust outdoor measurement tools and one of the first to introduce the strategic planning discipline when it comes to ooh strategy development
He has been a Technical Advisor to MRUC on the Indian Outdoor Research Survey Program and is a member of the Advisory Board of “Outdoor Asia” – India’s leading magazine on Outdoor Advertising.
