A Brand, Communication & Media expert with 30+ years of rich experience, Anita Nayyar is a veteran of the Indian media industry. She is currently the COO - Media & Communication for Patanjali Ayurved Limited, a revolutionary FMCG giant. In her previous assignment she was Head of Customer Strategy & Relationships at Zee5, where she helped grow the revenue by >50%. 13 years as the CEO of Havas Media Group, she, expanded the group’s footprint in the emerging South Asia markets (including Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka) in 2006, leading a team of 800+ people. India & SEA markets were her mandate markets in the region. Under her leadership Havas Media Group India grew 15 times over a period of 12 years. 

Anita is the National President of the Digital Media Council at WICCI for the 2nd term. A prominent speaker, moderator, panelist and judge at all the major events and awards year on year; her views and opinions are sought by the industry. She has been an esteem jury & judge at prestigious awards- D&AD, Cannes, You Tube Works, Kyoorius, to name a few.

Anita has been awarded the Super Indian Award for Excellence in M&E Industry 2023, Most Influential Marketing Leader (2022) World Brand Congress, Women Disruptors 2022 Life Time Achievement Award 2022,  20 Most Influential Women in India in Marketing & Advertising 2022 Business World, APAC CEO of the Year at Campaign Asia’s Women Leading Change Awards 2018, and APAC Vision leader in 2019.  

As the 2nd most influential media person in India announced by ET Brand Equity, she has led several leading agencies and brands across categories.  She remains among the top media personalities of India and features in the Impact Top 20 Women in the industry year on year.  She is on the board of leading media corporates. Anita holds a bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and has done her post-graduation in advertising & marketing with a master’s in management.
