T C Suseel Kumar is the Managing Director of Life Insurance Corporation of India. LIC is the market leader of India’s life insurance industry and has a customer base of over 29 crore while managing assets worth Rs 31.11 lakh crore. Prior to taking charge as Managing Director, he was head of LIC’s South Central Zone, where he fortified LIC’s operations in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka. 

A life insurance strategist and a marketing professional, Suseel Kumar, in his career spanning over three decades with LIC, has handled diverse portfolios including the ones as corporate head of Customer Relationship Management and Bancassurance. As Executive Director (Customer Relations Management), he introduced a number of new customer-centric initiatives, the notable one being e-services for customers. He was instrumental in expanding tie-ups with banking partners as the Head of LIC’s Bancassurance operations. 

He is presently on the Boards of LIC Pension Fund, LIC HFL AMC Co. Ltd, LIC Mutual Fund Trustee Pvt. Ltd and LIC (Lanka) Ltd. 

A post-graduate in Economics with University rank, Suseel Kumar has a deep understanding of the macro economic issues and their impact on business dynamics. He takes keen interest in development of people and believes human resource to be the key asset of his organization. He attributes his achievements to the high level involvement and enthusiasm shown by the teams he led.
