Girish Upadhyay is the Head of Media for Tata Motors, Passenger Vehicles. He is responsible to develop and execute the strategy for deployment of a robust multimedia communication plan for Tata Motors, Passenger Vehicles and all its sub brands.
He has spent close to 15 years in the Media industry, devoted to developing Communication and Media Strategies for various blue chip brands like Samsung,Godrej,Dabur,HDFC,Blackberry,Diageo,Disney among many others. Girish started his career with research agency AC Nielsen and subsequently moved on the media side working in agencies like Group M, Madison & Starcom. Work done by him & his team have won metals in various award shows like Cannes,Valencia & Abbys. Developing communication strategies for large & small scale businesses, understanding the importance of both the micro and macro vision and appreciating the need to collaborate and coordinate with various partners to achieve the Brand objectives with desired ROI comes naturally to him.
A graduate in Science from Christian College Lucknow,Girish completed his Masters in Business Administration from Army Institute of Management,Kolkatta. He is currently a member of the media committee of Indian Society of Advertisers.
